What We Do
We provide essential resources and support for single parents and young people between the ages of 12 and 22, empowering them to rebuild their identity, discover their purpose, and develop the life skills needed to create a stable and successful future. Through structured mentorship, financial literacy training, job readiness programs, and weekly development sessions, we walk alongside participants every step of the way. Our community-driven approach connects youth and families with real tools, real guidance, and real opportunities — helping them move forward with confidence and direction.

Transformation
Leon’s Legacy strengthens the community by connecting youth with mentors who provide guidance, support, and real-world insight. According to MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership, youth with mentors are 55% more likely to enroll in college and 78% more likely to volunteer, while also building stronger confidence and decision-making skills. Mentorship also improves workforce outcomes—young people in mentoring programs show higher job readiness and increased employment potential—and plays a key role in prevention, with research from Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention showing reduced involvement in delinquency, substance abuse, and violence compared to those without mentors. By helping youth stay focused, make better choices, and prepare for meaningful careers, mentorship creates lasting impact not only for individuals, but for the entire community.
Empowering  IdentityÂ
